I had a wonderful stay at Gondwana in the Namib desert. The lodge's location next to the fossilized red dunes was fantastic for wildlife viewing, with gemsboks coming right up to the lodge. The hikes and bird-watching opportunities were also great. The meals were delicious, and the staff, especially the charming female chef, were incredibly friendly and attentive. The sudden sandstorm was handled with care and thoughtfulness by the staff.
Totally recommend this hotel.

I got great value for my money at Gondwana. The room was clean, comfortable, and a welcome change after months of camping. The location was scenic, with hiking trails and sand dunes to explore, and the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful throughout my stay.
Breakfast selection could have been improved, with more variety and options to choose from.

The accommodations were surprisingly well-equipped, with air conditioning, hot water, and USB chargers. We had 4 beds instead of 2, perfect for a small family. The outside kitchen was a bonus, allowing us to cook dinner after hours. The location was breathtaking, with oryx roaming around and stunning desert views. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable.

The kids absolutely loved the close encounters with the friendly gemsboks and the beautiful hikes around the lodge. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The meals were delicious and the pools provided the perfect place for the kids to cool off after a day of exploring. We couldn't have asked for a better family experience!
For families with children, it would be great to have more options for portion sizes in the dining area.

Clean rooms with all amenities, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful hiking trails. Buffet dinner with excellent selection. 2 nice-sized swimming pools. Helpful staff, even assisted with a flat tire. Perfect for families. Found a small kitchen outside the "tent" which was romantic and allowed for after-hours cooking. Fabulously situated near red dunes, attracting gemsboks for wildlife viewing. Enjoyable hikes and bird sightings. Friendly staff, particularly the charming chef. Quick and thoughtful response during a sandstorm.

The bungalow was fantastic, clean and well-equipped. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and the food was delicious. The location was amazing, surrounded by beautiful birds and grazing animals. Truly an unforgettable experience!
The Wi-Fi was limited and difficult to access in the bungalow area, which was a bit frustrating. the check-in process was delayed and some of the front desk staff could have been more attentive.

We opted for the Camping2Go tent, which provided a unique glamping experience in the beautiful Namib Desert. the tent was well-equipped with a grill and we even had a cozy fire behind our tent. We truly enjoyed being surrounded by nature and taking advantage of the walking trails. the staff were friendly and helpful, and one of them even assisted us with a flat tire. the location was convenient, just a short distance from the main road between Soussusvlei and Solitaire.
A must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts. Cons: Nothing at all!

The children were thrilled with the chance to explore the vast sandy dunes and spot oryx and boar right from our room. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made us feel welcome and catered to our needs. The delicious food, especially the mouthwatering meat dishes, added an authentic Namibian flavor to our stay. With plenty of interesting trails to explore, the kids were captivated by the natural beauty surrounding the lodge.
For families with children, it would be great to have more hooks in the room to hang our bags and belongings.

The location of Gondwana in the heart of the Namib Desert was absolutely breathtaking. The luxury tents were beautifully designed, with attention to every detail. The bedding and towels were of high quality, and the little touches like a box of matches added to the overall experience. The camp and go setup made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at the lodge in the Namib Desert. the safari2go tents were spacious, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities we needed for self-catering. the staff was friendly and helpful, and the lodge restaurant served delicious meals for an extra charge. the location, nestled at the foot of the hilly range amidst the sand, provided breathtaking scenery and the opportunity for hiking and exploring the dunes. we highly recommend Gondwana for a memorable stay. Cons: Can't think of anything. 🤷♀️.
